What about credit card security?

Our sites use industry-standard security measures to protect data against loss, misuse and interception by third parties. You may already know that most financial institutions either cover all charges resulting from unauthorized use of your credit card or limit your liability to $50. If someone uses your credit card in an unauthorized manner as a result of your shopping on this website, through no fault of your own, we'll cover up to $50 (Canadian funds) of the charges your credit card company or financial institution doesn't cover. Please see Your Guarantee for details.

What about magazines and the environment?

If you’re among the many Canadians interested in choosing green products to reduce your environmental footprint, Rogers is committed to finding ways to be more eco-friendly. For example:

  • Paper suppliers must ensure that wood fibre used for papermaking is obtained from certified, sustainably-managed forests.
  • Most paper stocks we use contain some recycled materials, and all paper used is 100 per cent recyclable with no harmful residues. We are increasingly using lighter weight papers that use fewer resources and reduce energy consumption.
  • Rogers' print suppliers use vegetable-oil based inks rather than petroleum based products, and have introduced technologies to minimize harmful chemicals, processes or waste materials in production.
  • We give preference to suppliers whose manufacturing processes are designed to protect the environment.
  • We also take part in industry-wide recycling initiatives in Ontario and Quebec: we help fund the costs of province-wide blue box waste diversion programs.

As a company devoted to corporate social responsibility, we are pleased that Rogers is included in the Jantzi Social Index, a stock index of 60 Canadian companies that pass a set of broadly-based environmental, social and governance criteria.

For details on Rogers' corporate environmental policy and activities, please see http://your.rogers.com/aboutrogers/CSR/environmentalactivities.asp.

It also makes sense to re-use and recycle your magazines:

  • Once you’ve finished with your magazines, pass them along to friends, neighbours or colleagues to enjoy.
  • Your lightly-used magazines may be warmly welcomed at hospitals, seniors’ residences, community centres, libraries or medical/dental waiting rooms.
  • Your local school or daycare centre may want your used magazines for reading programs and/or arts and crafts use.
  • If your municipality offers a blue box type of waste recycling program, please be sure to use it for your magazines and other household paper.

You can find out about recycling in your city at http://www.ec.gc.ca/envirozine/english/issues/62/any_questions_e.cfm
